About Sproxil

Sproxil is a global brand protection & consumer engagement solutions provider delivering effective technology to combat counterfeiting, product theft and adulteration; as well as a platform for consumer engagement. Recently, we have leveraged our innovative direct-to-consumer product authentication channels to secure multiple six- and seven-figure USD grants from world-class donors interested in connecting with consumers at scale to discover insights that are costly to gather in person.

Sproxil seeks a highly-skilled and results-oriented Grant Writer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and international development organizations. This is a unique opportunity for a talented writer to make a significant impact on a global scale while earning an attractive commission based on successful funding outcomes. Sproxil has leveraged remote work for over 10 years and has a strong culture that enables cross-functional collaboration across our offices worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Identify Funding Opportunities: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential funding sources that align with Sproxil's mission and strategic priorities. This includes researching grant maker guidelines, deadlines, and application requirements.
  • Develop Winning Grant Proposals: Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate Sproxil's innovative technology and its potential for social and economic development.
  • Develop strong logic models and budgets to support funding requests.
  • Gather and analyze data to support funding requests with strong evidence of the effectiveness of Sproxil's solutions.
  • Ensure all proposals are well-written, grammatically correct, and adhere to the funder's guidelines
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate relationships with potential funders through video conference calls, phone calls, LinkedIn posts, webinar attendance and other appropriate means.
  • Track and Report Grant Submissions: Maintain accurate records of all grant submissions, including deadlines, application status, and funding decisions.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of current trends and best practices in grant writing, fundraising, and international development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in successful grant writing with a strong track record of securing a minimum of $1M/year in aggregate from various sources
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of grant proposal development principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant sourcing and submission portals.

This is a 100% commission-based position. The Grant Writer will receive a percentage of the total award for each successful funding application. The commission rate will be determined based on the project's complexity and the grant's overall value. Our focus is on grant opportunities that award at least $250,000.
