At Coins by Bamboo, we provide multi-currency accounts designed to help our users seamlessly manage their personal and business banking needs. Our current platform allows users to hold, send, and receive funds in CAD and NGN.

Job Scope

We’re looking for a Senior Treasury and Settlement Associate (Nigeria) to join our Platform Operations team in a fully remote role. In this position, you will play a key role in managing global payments, remittances, and settlement processes with efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in cross border payment processing and settlement reconciliations

What you will be doing:

  • Identify and establish payment partnerships to support business expansion.
  • Develop and execute process, standards, guidelines and for partnering organizations
  • Collaborate with product leadership to design a payments strategy that aligns with both global scalability and local market needs.
  • Innovate within the payments space by identifying and leveraging emerging trends, technologies, and partnership models to enhance transactional efficiency and user trust in each market.
  • Prompt and daily reconciliation of coins by bamboo transactions.
  • Investigation and recovery of unsettled transactions with partners.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate data analysis to support strategic organizational decisions.
  • Liaising with Customer experience team and Engineering team for the resolution of customer requests and disputes within SLA.
  • Monitor disputed transactions for possible fraudulent activity and report to Compliance.
  • Work with the product and engineering teams to improve the internal process and create new products for customer satisfaction.
  • Daily reconciliation summary, design and structure with details and accuracy for journal entries.
  • Maintain the relationships with banking or payments partners and ensure cooperation with any partner obligations.

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent preferably in accounting, finance, economics or similar.
  • Proven cross border or remittance experience (at least 5 years) in Settlement, Reconciliation & Chargeback role, preferably within the fintech, banking, or payment industry
  • At least 3 years in digital financial Services or banking industry experience
  • Proficiency in the use of Ms Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Comprehensive knowledge on how payment and settlement transaction chain work in a global circle;
  • Excellent analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Adaptability to global operational needs and ability to work in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
